Union Contact Pro 2016

A couple years ago the Contact Pro developed into one of the most sought bindings in the Union collection. The minimal board-to-binding footprint allows for smaller contact points between bindings and snowboard, so the board can flex and perform more naturally. The Duraflex material, at critical points, provides the necessary power and with only 720 g the Contact Pro plays in a league of its own.
Highback
The Contact Pro highback is incredibly light, extremely comfortable and suited for every type of terrain.
Baseplate
The MD baseplate has a soft flex allowing a high degree of freedom and a surfy board feel. The contact pro MD baseplate has been injected with Duraflex ST boosting the Contact pros performance and durability. Vaporlite full bottom bushing system allows for natural canting and next level vibration dampening, to keep your foot comfy all season long.
Straps
The straps of the Contact Pro are sonic-fused. They are fused together from a multilayer composite to form a single articulated strap component. This minimizes stitching and increases pressure distribution and durability. The straps come with magnesium buckles, this makes them four times stronger and two times lighter than buckles made from aluminum. On top of that magnesium is easily recycled and one of the most abundant elements on the planet.
